DIALECT (haiku koi intermission, a NW reflection on the California accent)

DIALECT (haiku koi intermission, a NW reflection on the California accent)

Because pin may be pen;
i.e., I ask for one, you bring the other.
Yeah, my lazy mouth again, far for fur.
I right myself yet you make me hem.

And because loose & lose,
the bigger looser always losing.
And because caught & cot,
though lovers' cot & lovers caught.

And because shudders & shutters:
wood cinching houses, saving views,
& switches within cameras: glimpses, flights
& flashes up your arms, goose bumps.

Pairing Ds or Ts doesn't matter
though I prefer your wrist, when
unexpected, how I make you twitch
& open & close & jump, a light remembered
or remembering, the body's exposure
